The NYBR offers informative, educational and timely programs and events to enrich the Jewish experience. Learning is a lifetime process, and we believe that every member of the Jewish community must be fully prepared to address the complex issues of the day.
The NYBR offers special learning opportunities to the greater community. Using both teleconferencing and video-conferencing, the NYBR is able to offer exceptional programming from leading authorities throughout the world. Past participants have included leading authors, noted diplomats, renowned experts and rabbinic authorities who have addressed concerns that impact upon our daily lives.
The NYBR also strongly supports the concept of Continuing Rabbinical Education (CRE) for our member rabbis. Whether serving as a chaplain or in a congregation, rabbis are able to enhance their professional skills, learn best practices and develop their intellectual potential to be the best possible communal leaders. Subjects such as congregational safety, elder law, end of life issues, mental health, business ethics, public relations, technology and the Greening of a Congregation are necessary so that we as a community can appropriately address the challenges that confront us.
Jewish learning strengthens Jewish living with both pride and purpose, and the NYBR is fully committed to sharing our rich history, heritage and traditions.
